Carl J. Cusano, MBA, CBI is the president of Capital Business Advisors, Inc. He has brokered the sale of numerous businesses, in addition to performing countless business valuation and consulting projects. Carl is the executive vice president and past president of the New York Association of Business Brokers (NYABB) and a longstanding member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), where he holds the designation of Certified Business Intermediary (CBI). Carl is a member of the M & A Source. He is a member and past president of Schenectady-East Rotary, where he has been awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition for his strong, dedicated service to the community. He is an active member of The Capital Region Chamber of Commerce and The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.Carl is a licensed New York State real estate professional.
Carl has been designated as an Industry Expert by the Business Brokerage Press. He is an often sought after resource in the business media, having written articles and quoted in publications such as CNN Money, the Albany Business Review, and the Saratoga Business Journal. Carl is active in the region’s business community and frequently lectures on business sales, mergers & acquisitions, and entrepreneurship. Carl has also served as an adjunct professor of Business at the College of Saint Rose and other area colleges.
Carl received an M.B.A. in Marketing, with academic honors, from Russell Sage College, a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose, and an A.A.S. in Banking, Insurance and Real Estate from Hudson Valley Community College.
Susan K. Walter, MBA
As a business intermediary with Capital Business Advisors Inc., Susan’s contribution is the union of experience and passion to help people and businesses move forward to obtain desired goals and results. Growing up in a family business, Susan learned the values of hard work and integrity which continues to epitomize her work ethic today.
Susan purchased the first Home Instead Senior Care franchise in the Capital Region. As the franchise owner, she was introduced to new people, big ideas and concepts that helped to shape the person she is today. Susan successfully operated her franchise for thirteen years and subsequently sold the company in 2012. She has a unique perspective and background in operating a successful business as well as navigating the waters of selling a business.
Susan earned a B.A. in Business Management from Hartwick College and an M.B.A from Widener University. Susan is a member of the International Business Brokers Association and holds a real estate license in New York State.
